Safety first
Child Safety Policy
OPRealm is designed around a simple rule: students must learn online safety before they get broader access to community and AI creation tools.
Our Safety Principles
- Safety training comes before broader Discord/community access.
- Students are grouped by age band where possible.
- Public sharing is controlled and moderated.
- Private contact requests are discouraged and may be blocked.
- AI tools are gated, logged, and restricted to age-appropriate creative use.
Required Safety Foundation
Students must complete the safety awareness foundation before accessing member channels or AI tools. The guides teach privacy, passwords, scams, safe chat, bullying, reporting, blocking, healthy screen habits, AI safety, and when to ask a trusted adult for help.
Discord Community Controls
- Students receive safe display aliases where possible.
- Access is controlled by roles, membership tier, age band, and creation path.
- AI tool channels are separated by use case and access level.
- Moderation systems may filter bullying, slurs, spam, mass mentions, unsafe links, private-contact requests, and scam language.
- Safety reports are handled privately by OPRealm staff or moderators.
What Students Must Never Share
- Passwords or login codes.
- Home address, school name, phone number, or exact location.
- Private social media handles or personal contact details.
- Payment information or family account details.
- Photos or information that identify them without parent approval.
Reporting a Concern
Students are encouraged to use OPRealm reporting tools, tell a parent or guardian, and avoid replying to unsafe messages. Urgent safety concerns should be handled by a trusted adult and, where necessary, local emergency or child safety services.
Parent Involvement
Parents and guardians should review account settings, talk regularly about online safety, and contact OPRealm if they have concerns about community behaviour, student privacy, AI usage, or account access.
